Expeditione is built by a solo creator. Me. One piece at a time.
The next thing I want to create for Ancient Egypt is a museum-grade map connecting the regions, cities, monuments, and expeditions you've explored — including places that couldn't fit into a diorama.
I want to commission a world-class artist to create it and, just like the expedition itself, make it available to everyone for free.
Building Expeditione independently also means thousands of hours of unpaid craftsmanship, while covering the infrastructure and development costs myself.
If you've enjoyed exploring Expeditione and would like to help make the next piece possible, you can support the project with a one-time contribution of $7 or more.
Expeditione is built as an open digital cultural house. I believe every curious mind deserves an uncorrupted, distraction-free window into science and history without surveillance or financial gates. The expeditions will always remain openly accessible to everyone.
Through independent work, patronage, and cultural partnerships. Expeditione is built independently through hundreds of hours of handcrafted labor. As the collection grows, it will be supported by people and institutions who believe this space should exist on the web, alongside complementary educational editions and other forms of support—never by monetizing attention, selling data, or locking wonder behind a paywall.
No. Expeditione will never rely on pop-up ads or sell user data.
No. I spent over 1,000 hours manually researching, 3D modeling, and hand-crafting Ancient Egypt alone. (You can even join the Discord community to see months of behind-the-scenes progress.) The expedition is rooted in real archaeological data, with the pyramids built to scale and every discovery grounded in authentic historical research. While the 3D environments are artistically stylized, you can find a list of the key academic sources under Settings > Sources inside every expedition. As a solo creator striving for maximum accuracy, if the community ever spots an error, I fix it. AI is a tool in my creative process — but the architecture, the storytelling, and the soul of Expeditione are entirely human.
Expeditione has no infinite loops, no daily streaks, and no manipulative algorithms. I believe in finite, memorable worlds over infinite generic feeds. I would rather give you 5 unforgettable, museum-grade expeditions than 500 forgettable ones. When your child completes an expedition, they can close the device and go play outside.
